So I did interpret that right! 🤣 (..if ,as you stated, the 1GB pack was auto-renewing.)

I nearly got caught in a similar way.  Bought a new Samsung phone which had a sim card included but took the card from my old phone to the new one.  Checked my account a month later and there is a $25 plan instead of my usual $8 plan. Rang 2 Degrees and they said that I had received a free 3 months $25 plan with the phone which would renew at the end of the 3 months. There was no information that I can remember when I bought the phone. Cancelled the $25 and restarted the $8.
