jords12: Cool powderedtoastman, I am thinking of getting one but was worried by the adsl2+ problems, good to see the fix is so simple :) How reliable is the modem? The netgear i have at the moment occasionally dies and has to be reset...

I haven't had a chance to give it a really good workout yet, but I'm expecting it to be pretty solid. Draytek has a good track record and competent tech support if anything does go wrong. I'll probably switch back over to the 120 this week and I can let you know how it holds up. The PPPoA to PPPoE conversion definitely works as advertised.

I've got the V3 with custom firmware.. and it handles torrents fantastically.
Was downloading one at like 1.5mb/s the other day.

ADSL2+ too.

I have a netgear thats the same but without wireless and is a single port - best router ever IMO - can force it to adsl2+ via telnet so it doesnt keep getting adsl2-re all the time, and it never locks up - even with ISP outages it comes back up on its own. The only time it needs a prod is when the PPP is up but no route at the ISP end - a reconnect solves that, and its not my end since I can still ping the gateway...

Custom firmware? I've never been able to find much in the way of custom firmware for my v2... What are you using?

I've noticed an improvement in my router (which is a bonus since the router was fine anyway)
