I'm not holding my breath for a dramatic price decrease (learnt my lesson with XT), but if there is a significant price differential then that will be enough as I don't need any further reason to leave Vodafone.

Is 2 degrees a NZ company?

Yes - look them up - well, partly yes. There's a stake from NZ and some foreign investment too...

Huawei (chinese I believe) is their technology partner, but for the most part they're kiwis.

Free to check voice mail would be a nice thing
on a regular plan if you stick to your txt, voice and data plans you can still go over the monthly plan price because of checking voicemail

Visual Voicemail would be handy. But I know that is a bit of a stretch.

Good txt rates because I for one find txting convenient and like to have important messages in text form so I can refer back and archive.

Web txt would be pretty cool too, for the same price as from a mobile.

What would be cool, is if you set certain text price brackets and one month you go over the one you initially thought you would do, you were stopped at the next price bracket kinda thing...

He's basically talking in data (or rather TXT) blocks, just like Slingshot's broadband packages. You go over, you automatically (or not) get another block charged to your account.

Well that makes perfect sense (as I am a Slingshot custoimer, I'm very familiar with the concept)

Loving this idea - I think they'd need to add a drop dead date though...say 6 months from the date allocated?
