I don't have an IPhone, but this is what I get on Vodafone GPRS in Whakatane. It's not flash.

It would be good to get EDGE in these smaller centres, there's a heap of devices around allready that support it!

tomisbetterthanu: Carrier bundle?

Go to that site, and follow the instructions to load all of the 2 degrees settings onto your iPhone. That will ensure that your iPhone can function as you need it to on 2 degrees.

It will NOT harm your phone in any way. There is detailed FAQ on the site:

http://www.iphonewzealand.co.nz/faqs/iphone-faqs/

Scroll down to "Carrier Bundle FAQs"

And watch out - data is EXPENSIVE at 50c/Mb.

johnr:
cisconz: The line is, if I remember correctly, Henderson, Albany, Pukekohe.

let me clear this up
2100mhz 3G starts at Orewa and ends in Drury/Pukekohe
Heading West Waitakere Rangers Vodafone is about to turn on a 3G 2100/900mhz site in Waima
John

I was talking about the 2degrees line not the 3g one.

Hmmmm
