CutCutCut: What's a CPE? How would that come about? I wasn't home but my wife said he was fiddling with the grey tube down by the road and went and then came back a couple of times before disappearing for good. He never came inside. I'm always interested to know what the fault is with things like this/power/water etc even if I don't fully understand it.


Customer Premise equipment - sorry I was meaning to highlight more that only you were affected, rather than almost all Orcon's customers ...  (not to be-little your problem, however ... :-))

Yeah I thought it was probably more co-incidence than anything elese.

I tried ringing twice when orcon was down and recieved this msg

we're sorry but your call can not be put through at this time please try again later ....... so I did an hour later and got the same msg

Yes - the outage took out their phones as well. 

It also seems I had a gap in my knowledge - after talking to Orcon I've been informed that they can do a separate power supply into your cabinet (if you're cohosting with them).
