Regs: wifi connections can have latency all over the grid.  especially if you turn on the microwave nearby.  i'd do a wired connection to get a realistic picture.

Very good point.

Audiophiles are such twits! They buy such pointless stuff: Gold plated cables, $2000 power cords. Idiots.

OOOHHHH HYPERFIBRE!

Network Status says they are experiencing issues nationwide.

Struggling to get speedtest to even work at the moment, keeps saying Configuration load failed...

still C-R-A-P here.  this is my latest test to Auckland tonight.  I am 45mins from the city and have a cabinet 1/2 block from my house.  Hopefully I'll wake up tomorrow to normal speeds :/

i've had no further problems since mid-day.

speeds at work (fibre) and home (adsl) have been fine.

~7Mbps to both WorldXChange and Vodafone speedtest servers

~7Mbps to sydney too:

speeds to LAX about ~1.6Mbps:

speeds to london about same:

perhaps you need to log a fault...  (unless you are on a plan that caps speed after downloading too much)

why is it that when slingshot customers experience service issues there are NO bulletins on their website.?

in february slingshots sales team called, expecting to obtain the previous account holder of my ph number, an in depth call revealed i would receive a price drop.
In march a letter from slingshot announces, belatedly, a change to internet plans without any consultation, a call to their CSR revealed the csr nkew less than the customer ffs, and a promised switchover to the "better network"and isp plan ...well....in april still has not happened.

what was the phone number of their executive that was in the media recently? id like to call them for an answer as ive no longer any confidence in slingshot csr's or promises or agreements.

as a comparison, 2 days ago was at a friends house, called TELECOM to arrange caller ID and faxability, their switched on CSR said within 4 hours the services would be on. well, within 10 minutes the services were in fact completed which allowed the customer to tailor their fax and answer services and machines to suit their business. far out thankfully in hinsight they were not dependant on slingshot and im prepared to tell slingshots executives that if they can be reached, unlike the excessive wait still on slingshots customer service lines
