Benoire:
Psilan:

That part of the site is "under construction".

Which is a little unfortunately as I have been capped and can't purchase another data block. Cannot check usage either.
They should have moved the old site and kept it live before testing this new one publicly.

If you go here: https://myaccount.snap.net.nz/login/?next=/summary this will allow you to access the support pages once you've logged in and purchase more data or see your usage etc.

Awesome. Thanks Benoire. Snap facebook didn't know about that.

i would like to congratulate Snap on its new plans, its not often that ISP's bring out new plans where you get more data and the cost drops , in my case, $30 a month and have been told that the add ons for the all you can eat seem  really cheap, $2 for youtube and facebook a month and $4 for Itunes

Common sense is not as common as you think.

If I switched to naked, $80 gets me 5GB less data than I am curerntly on (Snap Advanced without Phone)
If I wanted to pay $15 more though, I get another 15GB of data .. Think I will hold out as long as I can with a 'grandfathered plan'

And what is slightly annoying - logging into my account I can no longer add the $5 un-cap option.
It was available last night.

If this has disapeared for good, then I will be very annoyed as its what prompted me to switch.

according to Ralph from Snap it will still be available , just wondering if they are working on the page where you can add all you can eat packages and the $5 night plan will be part of that, they are meant to be out in the next few days

A couple of questions for those in the know...

1. What  is the speed like during those $5 hours?
2. What is itunes HD movie streaming like?
3. What is Youtube HD streaming like?

The data block options are there, its just that the night cap option has vanished completely.

Im looking on the same page it used to be on (main account screen, once logged in) and nothing.

Maybe some testing should have been done?

Hi guys

The $5 plan is still available but it's been taken off the new website for now to fix some account issues (it wouldn't let you charge it to your account) If you are keen for this tonight or till it's up and running (which should be tomorrow), please give us a call on 0800 276 232 and we can manually add this for you :D

While I have charged unlimited data for three nights to my account I am still rate limited to 64kbps after waiting 45 minutes. If your network engineers forgot to turn on the service for my account then others who are not rate limited may be burning through their bandwidth caps.

Update: The bug appears to only affect those who are rate limited. A fix will be looked into starting Monday.

hhhmmm those plans look good.

What is the pricing on the data blocks when you go over your cap? can't seem to find a page with that info.
Oh and can you top up prior to going over your limit ?

I have been using the little desktop Snap usage meter which I find great. But since the site update it no longer seems to work.

Anyone else have this issue?

You get rate limited to dial up speed with no extra costs however you can top up at $2 per gb to get you through till your next cycle

Can this be preloaded to prevent ever being rate limited? So if I had 5GB of data left am I able to add another 20GB prior to running out?

or could I talk to someone at Snap about setting the account up so that if I go over I'm automatically just charged $2 per gb I go over(Like Orcon does).
