sbiddle: Is the new bonus 1GB data national or on net only?

Have you got a link to the bonus 1GB data?

It's mentioned in passing here. And since I designed it myself, I can assure you it is national data. :-)

Do you have to sign up for a 12 or 24 month contract for that or do you still get it if you are on a month by month basis?

Not sure about that, sorry. Term contracts are handled by Somebody Else's Box(TM). :-)

If you designed it yourself; then why is getting the bonus for existing customers a manual process?
I had to call and wait on the line for a supervisor and then I will have to call again in 3 weeks to get it activated :o(

I don't get to decide who's entitled, only how it works once you have it. :)

Move to New Zealand's best fibre broadband service (affiliate link). Note that to use Quic Broadband you must be comfortable with configuring your own router.

I see your on a different system level, I just would have thought that someone would have designed the policy/system to enable the bonus to be added automatically. Also, someone should make it so the change can be done via My 2degrees. I can signup for a plan there but I can't change it.

Can you do me a favor? Go to this page... http://www.2degreesmobile.co.nz/prepay Click on the $19 pack, it really tells me nothing of this offer. Also click on the National Data Packs... Still tells me nothing.

Let me get this right. Forget about business plans but let's consider home plans.

$39 gives you 100MB of data (and the minutes etc.).  You can pay $20 to get 1G of data for a month so that's $59.

So by signing up for a $59 business plan you get extra minutes but from a data point of view you only get 50MB more over paying for 1GB on the $39 plan except the data is national, not just in the 2D coverage area.

I get the 100MB bonus on the $39 home plan but am finding I exceed that regularly and end having to buy more data. But I don't want to spend $20 for 1GB. I would love for there to be something like $10 for 500MB 3G data in addition to the $6 for 50MB of national data. I would buy that in a heartbeat.

Staying in Wellington. Check out my AirBnB in the Wellington CBD.  https://www.airbnb.co.nz/h/wellycbd  PM me and mention GZ to get a 15% discount and no AirBnB charges.
