As far as new neighbours go, there's none that I know of.
Heres what I see on the status page:

your ADSL line is not even connecting.

but its trying to connect.

if you've plugged your router in to the wall correctly, then there is either a dead router, or a problem line.

try unplugging all your other phones and make sure you dont connect the router via an adsl filter (plug it straight in) and try again

if you have a master splitter installed, make sure you plug in to the *correct* ADSL jack- with a master splitter, you dont use the individual adsl splitters on phones and you only have one dedicated adsl jack

freitasm: The PC connects to the router fine it seems. After all is getting an IP address. The router is not connecting to the Internet though.

RealityClash: I've setup the modem again and here's the results:

Are you sure you selected the correct options during the setup? Is the modem syncing? Can you post the stats please?

As far as I remember I setup the modem using the same options as when we first bought it. I used the manual to set it up again so I think I got it right.

Heres the stats from the ADSL table under the 'status' tab, hopefully this is what you were meaning:

Transmit Statistics

Receive Statistics Transmit total PDUs

0 Receive total PDUs

0 Transmit total Error Counts

0 Receive total Error Counts

I have tried disconnecting the only phone that is ever connected (which has an adsl filter on it) and sadly that did not help. The modem has always been connected to the same wall socket and doesnt use a filter. I dont believe we have a splitter as we've always had to use filters

We ended up buying a new modem this afternoon and everything's working great now.
