yeah I've spoken to them twice (someone was supposed to ring me back but hasn't - I could tell from the support guy that he wasn't intending them to despite me asking) and the 2 degrees guy on here is looking into it. imho I should not have to do any more - and if I have to I'll just go to another provider.

Maybe you get what you pay for !

I was starting to think along those lines but the reality is that I have had dreadful service from pretty much every telco that I have dealt with. So, the way I see it I have a choice between low prices and poor service with 2degrees, versus higher prices and still poor service elsewhere.

It's very fortunate that we have some fantastic people from the major telcos on this forum who are willing to step in and help out in situations like this, even if it means giving up their own time.

We really don't want things to go wrong, believe me. :-(

Well, I still haven'd had a response to the problem I logged a week ago so it's not looking good I'm afraid.

I've just emailed via the "tell us" complaints address, let's see if that is any better

Did you get in contact with POB? That's the sort of thing he should be able to fix pretty quickly.

I appreciate that. I hope that you guys manage to get your issues sorted as it's been great to have you shaking up the market and from that point of view your long term success is important.

After emailing the tellus addrss, the problem has now been investigated and a refund promised

Some faith restored!

OK cheers for that. I'll wait one more week in case they get back to me first.

My 100MB National data failed to auto-renew too. Didn't realise until I had gotten through about $20 worth of credit. Pretty annoyed with that, to put it mildly. If a company sends a text saying that the data pack will auto renew when it's low, then the thing should auto re-new when it's low. I never checked to see if I'd used my 100MB or if had renewed because I trusted them. I've just emailed 2degrees requesting a refund for the data used at a casual rate, as I view this fault as being theirs. I wouldn't have even known about it if I didn't see this thread on GZ.

It's a real shame, up until that I was enjoying my 2degrees experience.

It happened again... the data pack didn't renew, so I ate into my credit using ad hoc data.

This seems like a very simple thing to get right, and it used to work. How come it's failed the past couple of months? Last month customer service added the data pack for me, after it failed to auto renew. Maybe they did it wrong.

Edit - I topped up online, then a minute later I sent the request for a data pack in. I got two txts saying I don't have enough credit, then one saying my data pack has renewed.

Incidentally, the device my SIM is in can't receive text messages. Well, it receives them, but I can't read them (it's a Huawei MiFi). So any txt I get I can't see. If anything important comes to the phone, it should be put into the web interface too.

It was my fault. I didn't have credit, so it didn't auto renew. Apparently I forgot to turn on auto top-up! Thanks to salty for looking into it for me :)

I just subscribed to 100Mb data pack and that doubled up and took $20 out of my account so it's a good job I checked. Wondering how often this happens without people noticing as it's pretty easy to sit back and assume the 2Degrees systems are working fine?
