Well I also got 'The Email'. In my case it would add another $24 to $85 currently payed for 12 Gb. But the wife wont go on genius as she doesn't want a phone reliant on a trouble free broadband and power.

It just so happened that we got a promo in the post from Telecom offering there Home Lite for $10 less. So for the same price as Orcon Home and the same price as I was paying before I get 20GB of broadband instead of 10GB a separated phone line plus a free Tivo thown in.

I also joined Orcon because of there no disconnection fee and would generally be happy to stay but the sums just don't add up anymore.

Thanks for the memories Orcon I understand, I really do, but whats a consumer supposed to do!

Just got an email saying my Genius plan has been connected and should be up and running, and I can plug in my new modem now..
I?m at work at the moment so will do that when I get home.
It will be interesting to see how this goes, I have screen shots of my modem stats and speed tests..so I will compare these with what I get with the new modem on the new plan and report back.
