And I am having IPv6 issues. Turned IPv6 off though and it is working like a charm.

tried dropping to 5.22 and see if it resolves it?

I've read on here that for some people going to an older firmware fixes the problem but I'm more than happy not using IPv6 and it only required un-ticking one checkbox, so in my case I'll leave it as is for now until there's more information or a fix. Thanks for your suggestion though :)

was more from an angle of, if that also fixes it, then its an easy suggestion.

but your right, IPv6 isnt required, it isnt gonna phase you really at this point having it disabled.

On a new Fritz 7390 on UFB 30mbps, all our Android phones had problems talking to Facebook (and games such as Dragon City, juice cubes).

Tried upgrading to Firmware 6.0.3, no improvement.

Changed setting:

Internet > Account Information > IPV6 > Always use native IPV4

All works fine now.

Hi Ralph, what is the change for the benefit of the people that have non Snap remote managed fritz boxes (ie you have done a factory reset at some point)?

Also keen to know what the change was, for users without a fritz box, e.g. using their own hardware, which had the same problem, and would only work by disabling ipv6.

Hi Gabe,

If the Fritz was from Snap it will be fine as we push out the settings to them automatically, if it was not sourced by us then we might need to apply them manually - it would be worth contacting us to get your Fritz updated with the Snap specific (and some NZ specific) settings if you are using it on our network, as there is a significant amount of customisation on our supplied Fritzs.

In saying that we have also made some other Ipv6 improvements around our core too.

I don't have the specifics but believe that there were also some software updates around the Residential/Retail side of our Juniper Core and BNG network. I'll find out some more info, but has this fixed your issue?

Hi Ralph,

When exactly did these changes get pushed out?

Since this morning it looks like we've had intermittent DNS resolution issues. In most cases name resolution returns null, depending on the luck of the draw this can cause some/most/all of a website to not load.

Another business also on snap across the road from us has had similarly bad performance today too. --edit: both connections are Fritz 7360 managed by snap

I called the call centre and was told to turn off IPv6, which hasn't really helped much thus far.

Sisters snap connection is running bad. Will restart router once we have ordered the pizza. Half the images on the website not loading etc.

i actually noticed this last night, with a gyazo link shared on GZ, as a pretty self informed techy, i did some testing to be able to report it in deal..

unfortunately, it did resolve in the end. and so i could not confirm where there were nulls coming from..

this was all with IPv4 resolution, not IPv6. around about 11pm at night (did notice a few other cases of it before then however. but would need to go back and find the thread with the timestamp..)

I have re-enabled UPv6 on my Fritz and haven't noticed any funny business yet. Will update if that changes :)

noticed alot of DNS requests outright failing since these changes have gone through..

if anything, my IPv6 actually degraded, and now IPv4 is also acting up.
