bartong: Ah well, cheers anyway!

Anyone else on this topic got anything for 6.20 firmware?

I have did a bit of work with earlier firmwares and freetz 1.2.1, but my requirement to configure additional options for DHCP is now gone.
However if I will have some time over the weekend, I can create the firmware, you only need DNSmasq?

That would be awesome, thanks for the offer!

I'd also be keen for the SSH server too (I think Dropbear is the preferred option for Freetz?) if possible.

Would it be possible to generate a freetz firmware based off 6.20 for the 7340?

They apparently announced that the 7340 hit its end of life at the end of 2013 (but I never heard of this) so there are no more updates for it.

6.06 is the latest for the 7340, which feature you would need from the 6.20 version?

All the fixes and improvements.

Lol, I'm sorry I can't be more specific but that's because there is no specific feature I want, I just want the fixes and improvements, especially the DSL/Internet ones.

Finally got this working myself, realised I was trying to run off "Stable", but that didn't have 6.20 as a firmware option.  Now running of "Trunk".  So far so good.

I doubt this would be possible for the 7340 if there is no official version of 6.20 available for it.  The build process downloads the source for the "official" builds and inserts the Freetz stuff into it, so there's be nothing for he 7340 that it could base it on.

Unless I'm totally mis-understanding how it works.....  :-)

That sounds about right. Remember trunk will always have the latest code.

Also I was reading that there is apparently an option to overlay fixes from the 7390 on the 7340.

I've always run trunk in the past. It usually has the most recent firmware.

Also - trust in Freetz. Don't try to install a firmware on unsupported hardware, you'll likely run into issues. ;)
