I'm in Auckland, and have had serious issues the last two days... Very slow response (particularly Google search, YouTube). Sometimes pages won't even load (e.g Geekzone). Very Intermittent. Could this be the same issue? Never happened before.

I've reset my router and checked my desk is correct for snap. Happens on all devices using the snap connection...

Oh wow, I thought it was just me! For the past few days certain webpages (ANYTHING run by Google- web search, Youtube, Drive, Calendar, Gmail, Chrome webstore...) have been taking >20 seconds to load, and usually timing out on the first attempt to access the page. If I refresh a failed page it often comes up straight away the second time, but the first attempt is always a failure.

Most other pages (few exceptions like Geekzone intermittently) load as normal. I'm on Snap VDSL in the Helensville area.

I thought it was my computer because my brother (on the same router network) has no problems.

I get the problem in both Chrome and IE.

I've already gone through
-Flushing DNS cache
-Clearing cache/cookies/temp files
-Checking for viruses and malware
-Changing DNS servers on the FritzBox (although this doesn't seem to have stuck)
-The classic "turn everything off and on again"

Clutching at straws here. Anyone got any ideas?

Okay, not just limited to my computer anymore. Both my and my brother's android phones are really crawling on google searches.

Hi All,

Those reported issues wont be related to the Central North Island issue, but we have an abnormal number of reports of something not quite right in your area (Auckland North) so our Network Operations is checking it out now.

Thanks,
TheRalph

Thanks for acknowledging this Snap! Experiencing issues with Google here in Hamilton.

Youtube seems alright, but Google serves thumbnails from ytimg.com and it's hanging. google.co.nz won't load for me at the moment.

Please keep us up to date.

Workaround for the issue that seems to affect mainly Google sites: disable IPv6 on the host computers (no need to do it on the router). You'll have to remember to turn it back on later, because IPv4's like old and out of space, man.

That fixed it for me!
Turned off IPv6 in the router as well and that seems to have fixed the slowness on the smartphones.

Just chiming in here.

Since I moved to Snap! VDSL several months ago I've had nothing but problems loading Facebook pictures & Wikis

Over the last few days I noticed Google and several websites just not working ..

Disable IPv6 on my workstation and everything's come right. Feels like new internet. Including FB pictures & wikis

Location is North Shore if it matters

Cheers

I too seem to have solved my issues by changing my Fritzbox settings from ipv6 native mode to dual stack. Not exactly disabling ipv6, but it seems to have worked....

Could it have been a problem with Google' ipv6 implementation?
