Say I took the plunge and signed up for the $99 Pure 100/20 Unlimited Plan, just to be clear as the website is a bit confusing in parts, this includes Fibre TV, Voice, and a free router, with the first three months free?

It includes the Fibre TV and voice are free so long as you are a customer in good standing.

The router is $50 and free (free, but you have to post a $50 bond while in the free trial, refunded when you pay your first bill).

And the first 3 months are free, so long as you sign up before the 12th of Jan (and can currently get fiber, or can within one year).

The wording on the web site is confusing, as the offer was extended, clarified, changes slightly, and the wording has not been kept consistent by the web team. I'll mention it to them again.

Hi.

If I sign up/pay modem deposit for the 3 month free offer before 12 Jan 2015. Then go on to fully join up with MyRepublic... will I also get the free phone line on my account for as long as I am with MyRepublic?

/edit Also wanted to ask if you have any issues with me using my own router, since you provision the phone line through the ONT.

Have been connected with MyRepublic for almost a month now, on the Pure plan, with static IP and VoIP

Process took a little longer than expected. This seemed to be due to MR not having agreements in place with UFF in time.

Streaming services work as they should. If I was really interested in pings etc, I would go with the Gamer plan.

Landline number port took sometime, I think due to a stuffup between ISPs, but is working fine now.

Using Sky TV's SkyGo service was a fail, until I realised that MR is probably affected by the geoblocking that Sky uses. MR need to sort this if they really want to provide a user friendly service.

Can you post what IP range you've been given an IP in?

One would assume MR has NZ ips which wouldn't be Geo Blocked by Sky

Can you post what IP range you've been given an IP in?

One would assume MR has NZ ips which wouldn't be Geo Blocked by Sky

Further to my post above, I have also found the following:

On multiple Android phones, Pandora & IHeartRadio will only work over wifi if a VPN is active. Fine on 3g
These apps work fine on a VF connection at work.

Can anyone else connected with MR confirm the same? I want to escalate to them, but would like some confirmation from other clients, first.

Signed up on 21/12/2014 and had existing fibre connection with Snap. Got connected on 31/12/2014 after a few phone calls enquiring why a tech needed to come out, seems was not needed and got router couriered out.
No issues so far with phone or net, getting 95/19 on speedtest.net.

Just finding the "fibre tv" very frustrating, all my devices used to work with unotelly (PS3, Roku3 and PC) no problem, but Hulu plus just refuses to work on Roku3 now. Logged a ticket 19hrs ago, no joy yet from the support team. I signed up to unotelly again to get everything up again. Netflix and others work.

Just to say that someone's rental property have this ISP - have not heard of any complaints. The wiring install took about 3 or so week after sign up Chorus guys at it. concrete ground city suburbs so no lawn to dig thru - they instead used ducting and looped it overhead like a power cable. The ASUS router have been told that it is more powerful when the free Telstraclear Netcomm router. Even the backyard they could get it.

Hmm I have Gamer, static IP, and VoIP, and constantly get "this content is currently unavailable" on my PC's using Sky Go. All PC's worked previously. And I thought it was just everyone at the beach watching cricket causing the problems.

I'm guessing all your Flash and Browsers are up to date? It might also be worth checking that your registered devices aren't an old browser version. It knows the difference between say Firefox and Safari on Mac.

Yep. All up to date.
I spent time on the phone with Sky re registered devices. They reset them all. ( I think that is a stupid idea, as they become obsolete if those browsers/os versions are updated)

Since this issue has been spread across 2 x threads.

My Republic have advised me via. Facebook that their issues with SkyGo should now be resolved. I'm at work, so can't check until I get home this afternoon.

I went live with MR last Thursday

I haven't tried the TV services yet but in regards to speedtest...

Youtube great, Skygo now great, No lag with any video stream yet. No gaming but on the 100/50 for uploads. Speedtest is no different from Orcon to MyR it you ask me except for price of course.

I also had trouble with VOIP move, Once MyR got the right details from me and Orcon apparently UFF struggle with the setup on the 23rd Dec. Caleb and Kim again worked through it and all was working close of play on the 23rd. Since then no issues at all.

I had to postpone our fibre instal until after Xmas/New Year was out of the way.

Rang Enable last Tuesday morning to get ball rolling.
Inspection was first thing Thursday morning.
The underground tube was run from the footpath to the house on Monday.
The internal installation was done on Tuesday morning. All finished by 11.30am.
Footpath asphalt was replace this morning(Wednesday).

No problems, except the telephone won't be ported over until Friday morning. We can call out, but no one can call in.

Speeds are about 94Mb/s down and 19Mb/s up. Big improvement on the 4.7Mb/s and 0.8Mb/s we were getting on copper.

MR support answered promptly when I rang to ask about phone add-ons that come with the package.

Very happy so far, apart with delay for inbound phone calls.
