Behodar:
freitasm: Will keep this thread updated but you can obviously speculate :)

Don't mind if I do!

2degrees bought out by Skinny. Spectrum being used to roll out a shiny new EVDO rev B network, complete with WAP portal and a range of Blackberry devices.

Oh wait, you wanted sensible speculation?

Edit: Not as fun when three of you swoop in while typing surprised

Nah.  Netflix is buying them.    March 23rd..

They are to be purchased by Three in the UK, and are currently discussing names between 3 1/2 degrees and ∏ aka Pi in celebration to Pi day but missed the cutoff to get their press release in. laughing

I hope they dont buy snap because I like my snap connection and would be sad to have to get rid of it.

I agree.
I just got fiber installed and had to sign on for another year to get the free install. If 2D have brought Snap than I'll have to wait a year before I change provider..

Why? Currently with both myself and cant see any reason at the moment to want to change. Maybe if in a years time phones were answered in an hour to when i need to call vodafone for our work connection (and both at the moment are nz and fast) or service sucked (and both atm are not too bad tho 2degrees 4g rollout is as fast as a snail).

Because 2degrees have p.....d me off that much with their recent abortion of a customer service experience, on top of fundamentally broken web interfaces for managing my account. in the time 2 degrees have been running they have gone from promising to shake things up and make them fair etc to having some of the most confusing plans on offer.

Would be interesting if Geekzone can scoop NZ Herald?

I'm still betting on them partnering / buying / getting bought but a fixed broadband company of some description. Which does make me wonder since it's not like there isn't enough competition already in the broadband market. Is the prospect of paying only one bill so compelling??
