Hiya - Look forwarding to hearing the results of the captures and at least understanding the way forward. Thanks for the response.

Hi all,
Some good news and some bad news! Good news is that Chorus has confirmed it is an issue on their end, and is working towards fixing it with their next software upgrade. Bad news is we aren't sure quite when this will be.
We'll let you know once the upgrade has been completed to check if things are sorted.
Thanks for your patience while we were getting this resolved - we know it's been a long time coming!
Cheers,
^BRM

Thanks for the heads up. Hopefully Chorus keep on their hardware partners to get this addressed ASAP.
Quick update - Chorus have advised that there is an upgrade planned for July (depending on testing being completed with satisfactory results).

We have had to delay the upgrade slightly. We're now looking at a pilot of an initial 13 sites form mid August, with the rest of the rollout in September.

Put me down as another customer who lost IP6 when they shifted from VDSL to Fibre

I've been having a strange issue with IPv6, I've got a static IPv6. All PCs in my network can access the net via v6 icmp, only some can via HTTP/S. When I do a packet capture I see v6 HTML requests egress my WAN, but no replies. On the PCs that do work the flow is as you'd expect. Could this Chorus issue be related? I've tried both static and DHCPv6 and SLAAC addresses internal, makes no difference.

A few ways to answer that question - What I can say is, there is a know issue with Chorus and IPV6 across all providers due (Chorus have identified, tested and have indicated they will begin rolling out to ONTs in mid August.
Given it's a few weeks away from a nationwide upgrade, it would seem that waiting to see if this addresses your issues would seem like a pragmatic approach vs. searching for a needle in a haystack that will change :-) I've looked at our current escalations from Customer Care to the Core team and we aren't seeing any Ipv6 related issues/escalations popping up. We are currently in the process of upgrading our firmware on our PE's/BNGs across the network at the moment. This is going well and will continue for the next 2 months. (A bunch of devices takes time :-)) This will provide us with some more features and functionality (especially around 100gb) so we look forward to getting this done.

Cheers, I'm a networks/firewall guy and even this one has me scratching my head.
Yet another who has moved from VDSL to Fibre and lost IPv6! Disappointing, however, hopeful with these coming updates that it will be sorted.
Do you have any concrete dates on when these updates will be beginning roll out?

Hiya,
No IPV6 address means you cannot route to and from an IPV6 address (Most of the internet is IPV4). In terms of loading times, it should be similar to what you have on IpV4.
