@CrashAndBurn Netflix, streaming and gaming are totally fine on 2degrees. To be honest thanks to open peering Gaming may be better for you on 2degrees than what it was on BigPipe.

That is great to hear. Will have a chat with them tomorrow. They will end up dearer in price but am guessing the Amazon Prime makes up for it.

Contract about to end next month with BP and leaning towards 2D. Any recent info apart from what is on their website? Any promo codes? Any gotchas I need to be aware of? Is their connection stable enough as both me and my wife primarily WFH. Should I opt for their modem given I don't mind getting locked for 12 months or it is no better than the one I got from BP?

Out of interest what is the driver for change? Is Bigpipe not working for you? I'm a Bigpipe customer and wondering what I am missing..?!

Value proposition e.g. sign-in bonuses when locking into a new 12-month contract. I am just a standard user so can easily move yearly. Some need static IP and a more complex config so not ideal for everyone. Unfortunately, BP won't allow me to lock into a new contract so no choice but to move. Chances are I will be back with them in a couple of years.

Ok, I see you could get $100 credit and Amazon Prime. I'm in the static IP and more complex config so not worth considering the hassle and increased cost for me. Happy churning!

I've been with 2D for over a year now. I've never had to call them for support, they were totally awesome during the lockdown, no downtimes, so I managed to carry on with critical work from home. The router is good. It supports WPA3 (unfortunately, not all devices at home are compatible). One year of prime video was pretty sweet. Happy customer here so far ❤️

I was thinking of swapping from Spark to  2 Degrees so sent them a question about Fibre / Landline and Static IP last Thursday and I havent heard back. What is a reasonable time to expect a response? I would have thought maybe a couple of days

What would you need to ask that is not available online?

2D so far has always come through for me even going the extra mile at times. I've been a customer now for about 11y. Every time I think of switching they do come through for me. CG-NAT was a bummer. Called them and got fixed IP for free. But I was existing customer when they switched. So at worst it costs you $10/month.

Support is local as is all their other stuff. I value that.

If I found it easy I wouldn't have asked!

I started here

https://www.2degrees.nz/. Broadband. I can figure that out. So went there and got this https://www.2degrees.nz/broadband. Dont want wireless so went here  https://www.2degrees.nz/broadband/plans/  went to check my address and it didn't bring up a result. Oh well. figure I could get broadband because I am on Spark. So went back to here https://www.2degrees.nz/. Now where's the landline bit. Couldn't see it so typed Landline in the search box. Got this https://www.2degrees.nz/search-results?f=*&ps=10&searchResults=landline. Went to landline help and ended up here., Hmm. Home Phone Basic or Home Phone Plus? Getting confused now. I'm scrolling to the bottom and not clear on what the cost is. At this point I haven't even gotten to the static IP question.

So how much is an online shopper expected to do before contacting Customer Service?
