Shared data between devices like telecom have done for calling only with their plans. There are no cheap vehicle trackers that have UMTS so I will be on 2? for at least two connections at launch, shared data would be better then the current state of prepay sims that need to be topped up since the new one I am getting will do gprs updates direct to the web which needs data

Or else have some facility on your website where we could enter the mobile numbers of our friends and get you to "mass TXT" them the same message?

Loving this suggestion. Great idea. It'd be especially useful for those that have large numbers of contacts and the need to let them all know your new number.

Please. No.  This is what porting is all about.  Surprisingly, about half of all people who changed providers in my social circle didn't know about porting, so they are making other people deal with their lack of knowledge, who send texts and never get a response.

We all understand the concept of Porting, but there will be people that don;t want to keep their original number for whatever reason.

Here's another "good for you, good for us" suggestion.

Please try your hardest to have a "Vodafone family" style plan available on prepaid as well as plans. As you will be aware this would allow 4 022 mobiles unlimited calling/TXTing between them for a fixed monthly charge.

If you can achieve this for a similar or lower price to Vodafone then I would be prepared to bring 3 other family members onto 022.

"Iphone plan", but without the iphone. Sign on for 12 months or 2 years and instead of getting a cheap iphone, get $400 credit or whathave you, and use that money to buy an iphone from vodafone.

An option of a package where you get data, lots of texts and a only a few minutes (cos honestly its not a talkers person phone, its for a person who likes screens, reading, texting etc)

With them specifially showing the comedian guy dissing having to choose some of your friends I think that the chances of vodafone family like plans is quite slim... unless they were refering to bestmates/favorites.

Why do you think the chances are slim? The whole marketing right now seems to be over "talk more for less".

"All you can eat" plans between numbers on the same network presumably cost very little to provide (or else how is our duopoly able to offer such plans?), so this being the case I think it would be perfect to promote groups of people onto 022 rather than just single file dribs and drabs.

I've also heard that it's a prepaid system and that there won't be any monthly plans.

Opt in $20 per month prepaid on the "root" mobile, and let that mobile select 3 other 022s.

Not that hard - I'm just saying offer a similar "plan" on a prepaid basis.

Cheap TXTing and Calling is a must! I would be happy with 1000 TXTS to any network for $10 a month :).$12 for 600 TXTS on XT is a rip!

The ad specifically suggested that this very concept was what has been holding NZ back. To do this now would be suicidal. How about decent pricing so that this isn't even necessary?

I hardly consider cheaper calling to any network, and "free air time" to specified 022 mobiles as being mutually exclusive?

Let me have cake and eat it too. Surely having bestmate/favourite/families does not affect 2degrees' pricing structure on calls outside of these add-ons.
