SCM: Im finding their national traffic is fine, just their international traffic has got really bad in the last few weeks, even my non geeky flatmate has noticed and been asking me if ive been torrenting lol.

Yeah it's the overseas sites that are really slow, national sites are OK as long as there advertising servers are not overseas.

Started buffering at 11.43pm and finished buffering at 12.24am

41 Minutes to buffer a 6 minute video.

Played straight away for me just now, no buffering.

You can't judge snap's performance just on this one site, it's no youtube - they could be having peak time bandwidth issues of their own.

though it seems that overall, international bandwidth has decreased markedly in the last 2 weeks. national, no problems.

You can't judge snap's performance just on this one site, it's no youtube - they could be having peak time bandwidth issues of their own.

Youtube is lagging too. It buffers 10+ times per clip, a nightmare tbh.
Also, I am a gamer who plays WOW on US server located in LA. I am having high latency and disconnection issues during evening hours since earlier this week.

I emailed snap support 36 hours ago. They have replied:
"We are aware of this issues you mention and have people working on resolving them. Currently no ETR, as of yet so please bear with us."

The answer is honest, they know there is a problem, but not detailed. And I am the type of person that always trying to dig more.

National connection is fine, the problem is oversea traffic.
As someone has mentioned in an earlier reply of this thread, I am getting less download speed than upload speed to US servers during evening hours. In game, it appears that I only suffer when there are a lot of ppl casting spells, or in a city where there is a lot of data getting transfered, this confirms it is an bandwidth issue.

Through winMTR, I try to tracert my WOW game server. I can find very little packet loss, however I do noticed they are using a different routing now. I can clearly remember it was straight away NZ global gateway behind snap servers. Now there are doube the number of nodes for this tracert and I can see telstraclear nodes in there, take a good guess, maybe snap is "capped" from their previous uplink provider so they are using an alternative?

Update: Youtube appears to be fixed while I was posting, no lagging atm. (May 1st, Saturday)
However, I will try some gaming today, see how it goes and keep here updated.

They actually have different upstreams providers, and one of them seems to really be congested... this is why some of their customers have okay speeds and others lower speeds. Hopefully they will fix this problem for everybody soon! This is just unfortunate for those who rely on quality Internet to work.

Looks like it still spikes a bit recently. It is better than last week but not as good as it used to be.

I am now using Xnet and keen to change for another ISPs like Snap. Has anyone here have tried using Naked DSL for Snap? How fast normally do you guys get?

Any information about Snap would be most appreciated

Snap nDSL here in Dunners.
While international traffic has issues during peak time, local is fine. Good speed Good service Good support ;)
Well worth the jump IMO

not sure what has happened but my speed has gone up over the last few days, i have seen speeds close to 500kbs (dont laugh) on torrents , when the highest i have ever had has been 320-330 kbs in the 8 years i have lived here, not sure why but im happy

Common sense is not as common as you think.

My son is on Snap naked DSL here in New Plymouth and he is getting good speeds. On speedtest he got 14.13 Mb/s download rate on ADSL2+ lucky so and so. I am still on ADSL1 speeds on my side of town and only get about 4.5 to 5.0 max. Looking forward to ADSL2+ at the end of this year hopefully.
