So close, yet so far...

Yes 100mb for $10 is a good price (compared to others), but why - why - why did they insist on keeping the "Valid for 30 Days" for that purchase!!!

What that means is that I will be stung if I do not consume the whole 100 megs within the 30 day period, in which case it makes more sense to purchase in the smallest amount that I can i.e. in 50mb lots! The auto renew is a great improvement though.

Given that probably most users would consume the bulk of the data limit in a relatively short period, what is the point of having an expiry period that is so restrictive? A 30 day expiry is surely not working to my benefit!

Close but no bouquet yet...

Cheers Mike

i seriously do not understand why people want it to stop from auto-recurring. as a pay monthly user, i am not very happy that the data is not treated the same as prepay user. i would like to know if at least i can change the plan and increase it to 100mb (from 50mb)?

as a pay monthly user and if i bought an additional/extra 50mb data pack, will this data pack recur once i went over? or after the 30 days is up? will it take into account the remaining existing data that comes with the plan?

like the idea of no expiry dates
50mb probably will run out in a week or two, so does 100mb 2-3 weeks max
there is really no point to set an expiry date

While no expiry date would be brilliant, I can understand why 2degrees enforces one.

Out of interest - is the main reason that those of you who don't like having an expiry date due to it being a small amount of data? Do you think the larger packs should have an expiry date?

I can understand the expiry date, but i think it would be great to have none on the 50mb pack at least.

Or maybe just expanding the current expiry to 2-3 months would suit almost everyone.

Partly yes, 50mb or 100mb, it is really a small data bundle.
With all the data hungry smartphones on the market today, these data bundles are guaranteed to run out before the expiry dates regardless whether you use it or not.
Background sync and auto sync along would kill most of the data.

Secondly, even through I have been using 2d for 2 years since their launch, I still prefer how the XT data system work, only pay for the amount you use, cap at a certain level, then the rest is "free".

+1  - I usually use close to my 50Mb but at times I go over by quite a bit and would like to have that carry forwards rather then only having 30days to use it.

It really does depend how you use it though ... I don't really have time to use mine at work, so most of my usage is done commuting or at home when its on wi-fi anyway ... i imagine it's the same for a lot of people.

So for me, 50Mb is almost right for a month or so ... sometimes I don't use it all, but hey, 2Degrees has to make their money out of me somehow, and I'm ok with that. $6 or $10 a month is pretty fine by me.

Thanks 2Degrees, more great work. Wink

I use data while commuting to work but I have been averaging 10-20MB, so a 50MB pack will last a week only..currently on 1GB pack, which I might struggle to use it all up in 30days...
