eXDee: I'd love to see a breakdown of roaming charges.
What percentage gets put down as the roaming providers cost, the local provider back home's cost, and then how much goes in their pockets each as straight profit.

I imagine the large charge and the majority of the money goes to the overseas provider providing the roaming service.

You forgot the 3rd party sitting in the middle (in many cases) - the provider of the roaming hub.

Guys an update.

2degrees (via 2DegreesCare  here on Geekzone) have kindly sorted this out for me and I will only be billed for the $250 which is my account limit not $380 that was initially showing.

They said the extra charges happened due to the data session still being open and not billed until it was closed which took it over.

I now have several offline GPS apps installed so in future will not be using data roaming.

Thanks 2degrees for being a great carrier.

good outcome. if the limit is $250, you should only pay $250. customers should not be penalized due to system error
