I really do appreciate the help that has been provided by Softswitch and Sounddude to get these matters resolved, but it would be fair to say that if I didn't have the knowledge to work my way through IT matters and/or never found this forum I would be into my second week with no phone or net.

The Customer Service phone service is an oxymoron.

Not a good look Orcon for your average customer who has issues.

Popping home soon to reset modem and see what happens.

Cheers guys

Matt

Softswitch and Sounddude, looks like we have a number porting issue when we moved to Genius, as calls that come in via the Telecom network (Fixed line, mobile and calls originating offshore) are met with a message saying the number is not in service.

Are you able to help?

Still doesn't work. At all, no phone or net. It's been reset several times and keeps bringing up the generic settings, even the passowrd given last week now doesn't work. PM sent to Sounddude...

Telecom issue at the same time I am affaid. Telecom lost alot of EUBA traffic.

Your modem was online and we did see SIP was registered before you went home. I guess you just tested in right in the middle of the Telecom outage.

Can you factory reset your modem again. It should come online and get its config.

Move to New Zealand's best fibre broadband service (affiliate link). Free setup code: R587125ERQ6VE. Note that to use Quic Broadband you must be comfortable with configuring your own router.

I can see your modem is online, and that you have the correct IP, and the phone is activated :)

So it looks good!

YES!!!

We have net, voip and I can even dial 789 to get to the answerphone and my passowrd works. Question... how do you set how many time the phone rings till it goes to a/phone?

All I need now is for the divert to my mobile to be cancelled so people can ring us at home :)

Thanks sounddude and spftswitch. I honestly believe that I would be still on hold without Geekzone's existence.

Cheers
