ajw: Sorry doesn't do it for me.

For $16 a month  with Skinny I get 160 anytime minutes, 400 texts and 40mb of data and a whole pile of Skinny to Skinny on-net calling.

Well, it *is* called the *Data Combo*, not the Voice Combo.

I think for some, this is an excellent deal.
I would just like to see a smaller one.

Well there is a huge void that can be filled by a voice combo.

That is a good plan. But I would have to change my phone. ANd I don't think 40MB would be enough

Exactly. Very happy, have signed up this morning and can now use my new cheap X5 phone with this plan. I must admit though, it does make the monthly plans look a bit weak by comparison...

Looks like there is another combo pack coming soon the "chat combo" 60 minutes 200 texts. http://www.2degreesmobile.co.nz/c/document_library/get_file?uuid=691fb0ac-12a9-423f-8d3c-274e1ac987a1&groupId=10128

Move to New Zealand's best fibre broadband service (affiliate link). Free setup code: R587125ERQ6VE. Note that to use Quic Broadband you must be comfortable with configuring your own router.

To compare with the Skinny offer 2D would need another 100 Voice minutes, 200 texts, 40 mb of data and a whole pile of on-net voice minutes and charge $3 per month less.

Chat Combo Pack
$19 60 any-net voice minutes; and 200 texts to any NZ network.

Sure enough, more minutes are needed, but don't bother adding the free 10,000 Skinny to Skinny minutes, those are limited time offers, which will be removed by the end of April.

There is a question with this. According to what they are saying on this link. 60 Skinny to Skinny per week after April 2012 but to be confirmed.

True, but judging from the fact Skinny is a new company, it depends how many friends/family are actually on Skinny???
The extra minutes can be unless, not to mention it is in a to be confirmed state.

Anyway, we are discussing 2degrees new combo, the point is there is not enough minutes.

Slightly off topic as you say. Yes I agree considering 2 degrees were lobbying the Commerce Commission to regulate mobile termination rates with the inference of lower pricing.

That's good but it just leaves the $29 plan with 50mb of data and then it jumps up to 1.1gb for the $39 plan. I like the look of the $29 plan but it just doesn't have enough data.
