I see Slingshot have gone through and shrunk all the other plans, Starting to wonder if that's a good sign or not, Suppose it ends up putting more big users into the Unlimited pool which could lead to to a speed decrease, Also takes away the opertunity for me to switch to the 250GB plan and a more stable Bandwidth pool if the Unlimited one becomes unstable.

Lucky - Wow, they really have cut back on the other plans in a major way!

That is really worrying indeed. Maybe they'll halt new signups on the unlimited plan soon then, or just let it keep filling up until they get a steady stream of complaints about speed?

I thought it was quite odd when I joined up just 1 month ago, that when I asked to be put on the 250 GB plan, the salesperson really discouraged me from doing so and said Unlimited was the best option.

I said that 250 GB was extreme and we'd never use that much and I wanted to ensure we were in the pool with the fastest connections. But he said I could just switch to 250 GB later if I didn't find it good enough and that way I'd not have a contract.
Why this huge plan cutback?!!

I don't think there is anything to worry about. Slingshot representatives have already said that they are constantly adding more bandwidth to counter the extra people on the plan to keep performance the same.

I'm enjoying it as much as you guys.

It was really just a case of the 150GB and 250GB plans were more expensive than the unlimited plan, so there wasn't much point keeping them around.

I assumed you paid extra for the 150GB and 250GB plans because it was full speed at all times compared to what you might experience on the unlimited plan?

The unlimited plan is still working wonders by the way! I couldn't be happier!

i'm on NDSL 30gb considering switching to NDSL unlimited... but hesitating because AYCE or Unlimited NDSL plans are meant to be slower/moreforciblyshaped...

can anyone who has made the switch describe their new speed experience?

ps i don't game online, i'm not a hardcore torrenter, just watch the odd 720p stream and torrent the odd tv show and do the usual surf/youtube/etc, which seems to eat up 30gb 20days into the month!

So your usage Meter is working? Interesting, Mine isn't, I just assumed it wasn't supposed to work for unlimited.

The usage meter on the router works, haven't checked the slingshot one.

The usage meter on Slingshot under internet does not work, probably because the plan does not need one. You can still access the amount you have downloaded via your "MY PHONE" tab under "Call Tracking". Click "Internet Data Usage" on the left hand side panel and you should get a total.

Our flat of 5 managed 400GB last month. Three of my flatmates surf YouTube all day, so its not hard to hit that amount.

You could always get a data counter that runs in the background on your computer, only tells you how much your computer has used though, not all the other devices in the house.

Considering the amount of computers in this house being used and each individually consuming masses of data that would be somewhat difficult, As well as separating internet traffic from internal network traffic.

Use Visibill to track how much data you use. It updates quite frequently. When on Visibill click on internet data usage and set the drop down menu to current bill period.
