Maybe its Quikflix unmetered on your 2 Degrees phone? :)

freitasm: Just received: "Join 2degrees CEO, Eric Hertz, for an exclusive media event, as he unveils a New Zealand first technology that will revolutionise mobile handset usage."

Is it something to do with Winston Peters?

Exactly what I was thinking...

2Degrees stock Huawei, so maybe it's the Acent D: The quad core beast! Apparently the 'world's fastest'.

Not if Winston Peters becomes the CEO. All that other Huawei gear can piss off as well.

That should read "was the worlds fastest".  The HTC One X has smashed it in the most common benchmarks.

In saying that, the GS3 has smashed both in the latest unofficial benchmarks, released on Techradar this morning

My guess is something to do with EME tech?  Maybe the first wireless charging phone in NZ?

Hope it isn't a new model of phone.

Something that we can all use would be good like network upgrade/feature etc.

Ponders... A New Zealand first.....

Wonder if 2 Degrees are planning to introduce dual sim phones into New Zealand, that would be a first wouldn't it? - afterall my dual sim phones I had to import...

I'm thinking it could be the Ascend D Quad, but maybe that's just wishful thinking as I'm very keen on the D Quad XL.

Incidentally, VinnieG which benchmarks are you referring to? The ones I've seen show it outperforming the Tegra 3.

I believe that Telecom offers them (through Gen-i).

My wife bought a new phone 6 months ago from the Warehouse.  it is Dual Sim and she is on 2 Degrees...

I dont think Dual Sim Phones are actively promoted as such but there are plenty out there...

Oh I'm referring to the GLBenchmark ones, haven't checked the Antutu ones, but the Quadrant ones on youtube, show it performing just under the 4000 mark, vs the HTC One X round 4900-5000

Tbh, I think it probably will outperform the Tegra 3.  Especially since Huawei have another month to play round, and optimise it

Edit: Whoops make that two months...ascend due Late June/Early July apparently
