heapsort: The $19 packs are tempting but we'd have to bump up our usage to make them worthwhile. In my family we have three prepaid 2degrees phones and each runs around $10-15 a month, with a $30 topup (smallest amount that gets a chunk of free texts) lasting 2-3 months.

I'd also want to be sure before buying a 2degrees value pack again, that the double charging problem is absolutely fixed. Way back when I had a data pack I got charged twice for each monthly auto-renewal more often than not. I know there was a Geekzone thread or two about it, but haven't heard it is definitively sorted.

I had the same problem with the data packs but have never experienced it with the $19 packs.

I just cant see the value in the $19 data plan now, only 100 megs (20%) extra for 6% the texts and 60% of the mins of the text plan?

I guess if you have a recurring need for just over 500 megs only then it makes sense, but otherwise its a bit of a non starter now.

Vodafone $19 prepay deal 50/5000/500, but only until 31 October. Not enough I'm afraid just to almost match what I've got at the moment (60/5000/500). Will re-assess once the Christmas deals come out, which I assume will be from 1 Nov.
