That is simply because it was "Registered On 01-Aug-2013" whereas my website and latest KML are generated from SMART as of 15-July-13.

I'll look into generating a newer KML in the next day or two. Updating the website is a little more complex.

I was informed by a googler that when you have a large number of markers it often won't display all of them, however a fusion table does. Try using a location table and then embedding it as a map.

I am using fusion tables map because the standard maps api can't cope with the number of points, but fusion still has a problem with multiple points on the same location only showing one pin. There are probably ways to work around it, and I have been wanting to provide an option to just show certain networks, but as always never enough time in the day.

Btw the KML files load surprisingly well in Google Earth for Android given there are so many points.

2degrees seem to be doing a lot of work lately. Today I saw people working at their Bastion Point and their Westhaven sites. Also have observed them changing their 2G cell broadcast text at some of their sites -- from human readable text to more cryptic site IDs. For example I'm currently getting '007-WSTH-G09-1-1' here in Wynard Quarter off I'm guessing their Westhaven site. I presume these are part of this work adjusting their exisiting GSM900 network.

I don't think so, there are areas in Wgtn for example where XT and VF sites that have literally been around forever aren't showing.

I've been messing around with RSM/SMART and Fusion Tables APIs. Output here.

Automatically updates every Monday night (RSM updates their Smart DB Monday lunch time). Consolidates licences based on location. Assumes that if the Lat/Long is the same on two licences, it's actually two different transmitters on the same tower. Also marks "new" licences compared to the last database as well.

Off topic for this forum, but the example I've got right now, over the last week Telecom registered a crap load of LTE licences in Wellington and Christchurch:

The Vodafone LTE markers need to be taken with a grain of salt. At the moment there's no way I can tell programmatically if a Vodafone 1800MHz licence is LTE/2G or just 2G. If someone had that info - Would be awesome.

You could look at the start date. If start date is prior to the start of the LTE rollout you can safely assume it's GSM-1800 (most likely along with LTE-1800). Those after the rollout are most likely LTE-1800 only. I'm pretty sure Vodafone has not added any more GSM-1800 cells recently but John Reader will correct me if I'm wrong.

Another way could be to look at the licence location name -- some of the GSM-1800 site are noted as such (e.g. SYMONDS STREET 1800) while I presume they haven't bothred with this for LTE.

I wonder if there might be other hints in the licence data that could suggest whether it is using used for LTE/GSM or not.

That's the frustrating thing - All of Vodafone's 1800MHz licences appear to have been removed, and reregistered. The oldest Commencement Date for a Vodafone 1800MHz licence is 2012-11-12, about when they would have started rolling out LTE. There's also only 10 Vodafone locations that have "1800" in the name, which I could exclude, but it would be a manual exclusion. Not really ideal, and still leaves ~290 other locations.

Is it possible for you to get data for the cancelled licences? Using the RSM website I can search for cancelled licences which yields Vodafone 1800MHz licences dating back to October 2001.
