charsleysa:

If you have the 7390 follow this link to the BETA firmware (no promises on providing a fix).
https://mega.co.nz/#!09tRXLCS!f3XYlXJ-yDLbiXJCLoQv6NVqYYA2gXHM8V19wGpDukM

Thanks mate.. Was able to install this as a downgrade without having to do a recovery and shazam, VDSL sync.

Hopefully it's not too dodgy a build.. Once installed, it lists itself as "06.01-sroemer-build_1209-27067M".

The 6.04 beta from ftp://service.avm.de/Beta/FRITZ%21Box_7390/fritzbox-beta-7390-27435.zip wouldn't install over the top of 6.03.. Said it wasn't valid for my hardware... May try again on top of this 6.01 beta and see what happens (when I have time to fix things).

menabassily: With Snap (ADSL), using FRITZ 7390 and just upgraded the firmware to test this. All working fine.

OK! I take this back, the internet here is terrible after the update, I am a man of science so I am not saying the update caused it, I will downgrade and test.

menabassily: Managed to find a recovery image for 5.51 for 7390

And 5.22
7340 - 99.05.22
7390 - 84.05.22

one is recovery, others are simple firmware images.

this did prompt me to archive recovery images too however given the way AVM keep pulling files.

painful.

as for your youtube sound issues, i dont think that would be snaps fault.

Cloud spending continues to surge globally, but most organisations haven’t made the changes necessary to maximise the value and cost-efficiency benefits of their cloud investments. Download the whitepaper From Overspend to Advantage now.

The issue is it loads pages partially, videos without audio, pages with missing images, etc...
I have managed to get it back to normal with the recovery exe 5.51

sounds more like the IPv6 issues people have been having.

i personally have not experienced it first hand however.

I am happy with the current firmware now, but since I know myself, I know I am going to upgrade it again and keep trying until I fix it, I have a couple of ideas that might work.

I was surprised it refused the ADSL settings from Snap and accepted the VDSL settings, my problems might have been all solved if I have disabled the IPv6 support

IPv6 seems to be hairy for some, not sure if i simply have an old IPv6 lease, without the issues or my fritz simply isnt getting the issues, but IPv6 is perfect for me.

I have turned on the IPv6 support on 5.51 and it works fine. Disabling the IPv6 on 6.03 sounds less of a realistic solution now :)
