dan: ive had a half a dozen pages ive had to reload over last few days, which is unusual
some mediaportal logs from my htpc shows quite a few "remote name could not be resolved" starting from the 12th Feb
seems like there is a issue

hm, new firmware turned out alright for your vdsl?
dns resolution issues seem to be riffle right now..
RalphFromSnap: Hi All,
We currently have the DNS issues under investigation, to help out can you advise if you are using the Fritz box as your DNS server (although we note that customers without the Fritz box are also seeing these issues, which pretty much rules out the the Fritz box)
Can you also try and set your name servers to ns1.snap.net.nz (202.37.101.2) and ns3.snap.net.nz (202.37.101.3) and see if you still have the same issues.
Also when reporting the problem can you let us know your location and if you are on DSL or Fibre.
Thanks,
TheRalph

Not using Fritz as DNS, was using manually configured DNS - 203.37.101.1 and 202.37.101.2 already
Henderson, Auckland - VDSL.

no odd syncs, or stats being given out? did you go to 6.03 from 5.22 or 5.51?
RalphFromSnap:
Thanks - although try removing 202.37.101.1 and replacing with 202.37.101.2 and 202.37.101.3
dan:
nope, synced at exactly the same speed , no resyncs since it was done a week ago, errors are no different than usual, i dont have any issues with 6.03 as yet
5.22 > 6.03

Having the same problem and think I will join you.
OpenDNS has the following DNS servers:
- 208.67.222.222
- 208.67.220.220
You know Google have their own as well?
- 8.8.8.8
- 8.8.4.4
Good to remember if you need DNS somewhere and need to pull the ips out of the hat.
