@ALTRON They have launched 5G as I have used it quite a bit, I suspect they are still waiting on Apple approval

I've been in Newmarket in Auckland of late and have enjoyed using MS Teams over 5G. It's been absolutely flawless and I'm surprised how battery-efficient it is on my phone vs 4G. Perhaps it's just that my S22U has better battery life, but I certainly notice it doesn't use much juice over an hour and the phone stays very cool throughout.

But they will be changing their name, so thats something.

No, still 2degrees. And we haven't forgotten about iOS. They're just waiting for me to buy a new iPhone first. I'm taking donations if anyone wants to speed up the process.

iPad Pro 11" + iPhone 15 Pro Max + 2degrees 4tw!

5G has been enabled for iOS on the latest developer beta (15.6 b1). I presume that means it's pretty close!

5G has been enabled for iOS.  If you go to Settings, General, About and accept the provider update.

Then go to Mobile, Mobile Data Options, Voice & Data and set for either 5G Auto or 5G On.

if one had a 5G iphone, does voice work over 5G or does it fallback to 4G?

If it does work on 5G, what happens to a call when you lose 5G coverage and have to fallback to 4G or 3G or VoWiFI? does the call drop?

@Hamish225 Voice is over 4G / VoLTE the only handset that supports VoNR is the Samsung S22

When VoNR rolls out Voice calls would hand back to 4G when moving out of 5G coverage

Edit: The Samsung S21 is compatible as well (I think)

VoNR is only available with 5G SA. I don't think any of us have SA live yet.
