Siegeory: Hi, thanks for your reply.

There is only 3 jack points in the house, 2 that are in use and have filters on them.
I might be able to test another modem later tonight, just to see if it's the modem.

Thanks,
Chris.

Try unplugging everything (phones, filters, Sky, etc.) except the modem from the jacks; then try the modem in each jack.

Hi, thanks for the reply.

I Have tried another modem but had the same. I will do the isolation, with only the modem plugged in tomorrow.

Thanks for your assistance, and will post an update after I have done that.

Try first the master phone jack... :)
Also cable quality is just the luck of the draw sometimes, my father (very rual) has 8km of phone cable to the exchange he is able to get 1.5-2mbit sync rates on a good day.
In Auckland CBD because of the large density of population & cable utilization you would lucky to get anything if your cable is longer then 4km.

Hi guys,

If you are having issues with Twitch can you please email me with;

- Tracert to the site when you are having issues.
- Ping to the site.
- Account number.
- Speed tests on Slingshot speedtest server.

Following this I can investigate it for you.

Thanks,
Ben

Hi guys,

I believe this is an issue on Twitch's end as all of the Tracert tests I have seen show the delay outside of Slingshot's network.

If you would like me to confirm this please send me a copy of a tracert to Twitch's website.

Thanks,
Ben

Hi, have tried all of them and get the same stats.

It's alright though, still fast enough to stream 1080p without buffering so it's good :)

Thanks for all the help.

Slingshot: Hi guys,

Youtube should load fine on the Unlimited plan, I watch HD video's every day on my Unlimited connection and often with two different computers at the same time.

Are you using any other downloading software or programs that may be using your bandwidth? I.E try completely isolating the youtube/streaming and let me know if you are still having issues.

Thanks,
Ben

One minute I'll be streaming a 1080p or even 2048x1536 clip absolutely fine - It'll be maintaining a steady 7000-8000kbps download rate (8000kbps seems to be my line limit). Then, it'll start fluctuating wildly like this:

There is nothing running on my PC using bandwidth, and at the time this was the only active device on the network.

Just got this email.

I hope they mean $111 including phone line not just for the Broadband, The 250GB plan mentioned below appears to be just the Broadband.

Pity they decided it needed changing, Never had any speed problems myself and would have preferred they left it as is but its still worth it.

It is however nice to see the 250GB plan back, I thought it was strange they removed it.

If this results in increased speeds during peak periods I'll be pretty happy.

Yea I'm on the 250gb perfect for me, however now I'm paying more then I should might see if I can change it later.

I think it was removed because at the time it was cheaper to just get unlimited so why get 250gb for more expensive price.

I believe your $111 includes Homeline and Broadband because your on the "Better Network"

Hi,

yeah it does relate to the broadband bundle.

Also, this will hopefully resolve more Unlimited customers peak time speed issues.

Thanks,
Ben

Hey Ben,

Can we downgrade our plan and remain off-contract?
