Peppery: Again, having issues with Spotify. Can stream over 3G fine. When are these speed increases going to happen?

I can stream it fine but syncing to my iphone is crazy slow. will take around 20 mins to sync(download) a album to iphone. good wifi connection, 20mbit line

Not sure if its isp related as many other spotify users have this problem judging by the spotify forums

That's not likely anything to do with us since its working fine on the pc.

If anyone is having issues with Spotify, please do a tracert to their website and PM the results to me.

If a lot of people are having similar issues, maybe you could raise a forum topic in New Zealand Broadband or something and find out if it is just Slingshot or not. Until then, the tracert information will help.

Same here. Speed was much much better when I was with Snap.

Same here. Speed was much much better when I was with Snap.

Anyone on a SNAP connection here could they post a traceroute to the same server as above?

I Suspect the issue is that the path to the destination is not optimal for a streaming type service 18 hops quite a few however ive always had issues going back years if any streaming data goes via sprintlink.net there's always issues.
Also its not 100% as reverse DNS may not have been updated but it looks as if its taking the longest way possible to London.

It is a mixture of both, however I'm using Little Snitch to allow it to only access *.spotify.com domains.

Why is netload premium speed so slow on SS ayce? I can't get over 250KB/s any time of the day with 4 connections in IDM. I used to be able to get over 1MB/s with the same setting many many months ago. LOL

i tested using IDM and jdownloader with only single pc online at the time when downloading.

Have any of you guys experiencing very high pings whilst playing League of legends?

This is my issue, unplayable gaming at 900 - 1800 Ping WHILE someone is
1. Downloading a file
OR
2. Streaming youtube or somesort

If no one is doing any of the two i get good ping of 160ms. However if someone is streaming or downloading the ping sky rockets, dont you think it should handle this?

Its not cool because if my flat mate is on youtube i cant play LOL.

So Ben is it possible to play LOL with people watching the odd youtube video?

I used to play a lot of League and never had that issue to be honest. Could imagine P2P affecting your experience a bit but streaming shouldn't.
