Do you have another modem you can test your speeds with?
My old Netcomm NF4V surprisingly reaches 950/550 while this new Fritz!Box is the new bottleneck in my network lol.

My connection started up at 7:30am this morning so that's great.
I'm maxing out at 280 down, 190 up. Could be my Airport Extreme that's the bottleneck so I'll try plugging my gig switch directly into the Fritzbox after work, and put the Airport Extreme on a different switch port so it's only handling the WiFi devices (instead of both WiFi and LAN connected devices).

You will never get gig speeds over Wifi.
Do a test with Ethernet plugged directly in the Fritz and report back.
We are seeing customers getting good speeds doing this (940down/430up) ish.

suggests that the Apple AirPort Extreme (802.11ac) (ME918LL/A) should be good for 685 Mbps.. far higher than what you're currently getting

Okay - tested with a Windows laptop with a 1Gbps NIC. Same issue - doesn't get above 280Mbps/180Mbps. So it's most definitely not a problem with any of the config on my LAN.
Anyone know of anything I need to tweak on the Fritzbox? OR is this purely an Orcon/Chorus provisioning fault?

I agree with you definitely is not your LAN (worst case scenario you would be stuck at 100Mbps) you have to call Orcon and raise a ticket.

Love that website and their tests, initially i had a TPLink C5 ready for this connection but opted for an Edgerouter lite.
Cheers,
Just got my xbox one s, that was pretty fast!! appreciated.
Im installing Halo 5 and as suspected the bottleneck is now upstream as im only getting 84Mbs download.
its a shame bandwidth is so restricted going out of NZ as pretty much 90% of our services reside elsewhere. although i think akamai has a local DC.
Checked for an update on the Fritz!Box and found there's a new version of FRITZ!OS, going from 6.30 to 6.52.
Anyone updated? Any issues?

Rubbish and no, in that order.
Bandwidth is not restricted for most ISPs, it's CERTAINLY not restricted as far as the international cables go.
Any half sensible ISP will have WAY less than 90% of user traffic coming from offnet.

Looks like I'm getting 850/450 ish now. No changes on my side so that's great!
