Starplay:
nakedmolerat: is it possible to switch between pay monthly and prepay?

Yip - Log onto Your 2Degrees and you can change to pay monthly (as long as the application goes through all fine once youve done it).

Here is how you do it.

oh okay. do you happen to know if we will lose the prepay credit once switched to pay monthly? still has a bit more left in my prepay sim.

Your prepay credit will be transferred to your postpay account. It'll show up as a "debit" when you get your bill.

Hi,

Just to let you know, we've made things a little easier today for customers signing up to Pay Monthly or switching over from Pre-Pay. They will get the bonus 100 minutes added automatically if they sign up before the end of October.

However, if you signed up before today you will have to text 'bonus 100' to 233 before the end of Oct to claim them.

Cheers!

Monthly price In my opinion is too high ,  as a comparison im on Vodafone Easy 60
this has 60 day and 60 offpeak mins  60 sms  10 pics   and $1 for 10 megs of data
and $29.95 a month  , plus has nationwide 3g   where 2 deg only offer 3G in their own coverage area and at 2100 mhz , so coverage may be sparse out of the cbds . Roaming on Voda you get no 3G  and data at gprs speeds .

That is incorrect. When Vodafone roaming you get the same as a Vodafone subscriber would get; 3G where available, 2G where not.

Also note that the 2degrees minutes are any time (not split 50/50 into off-peak), when you go over it's 44c/min, vs. 99c/min (peak) or 49c/min (off-peak), and if you sign up now you actually get 220 minutes for the first year.

Well, if your phone isn't UMTS900 then it doesn't matter whether you're a Vodafone customer or a 2degrees customer. It's not going to work either way. :-)

I don't really know; handset sales are somewhat outside my area (which is core network Value Added Services design). But you don't have to buy a phone from us.

I hadn't noticed that plan. My wife is on Easy 20 (term has ended so we can get out any time). This could be a good plan apart from the 12 month term. If there were no term I would change her to this plan but I think I am going with the 2D $39 plan which for $10 more a month gives her 220 minutes anytime and 600 texts. The Simple 60 plan only has 60 txt which is not going to be enough I think.

Even though she will be getting an iPhone 4 she won't be doing data.

Staying in Wellington. Check out my AirBnB in the Wellington CBD.  https://www.airbnb.co.nz/h/wellycbd  PM me and mention GZ to get a 15% discount and no AirBnB charges.

Hi Steve

SaltyNZ's right, as usual ;-), if you're roaming on VF you'll get 3G where they have it.

Check here for the phones in our current range- https://www.2degreesmobile.co.nz/shop
These ones work on 3G -
2degrees 1251
LG GU285
Nokia 5230
Nokia X6

Cheers

Prepay & Pay Monthly can access all the same services. The only differences are that Prepay cannot get the Pay Monthly pre-registration bonus minutes (naturally) and pay monthly gets a bill...
