Not being able to rely on an automated system is a real pain, but luckily I have a dual sim smart phone, and I have just cancelled txt and data packs (for now) with 2 Degrees and taken the telecom $20 value pack which gives me the 200mb of data I need with 1000 txts.
Once this mess gets sorted out I may switch back, but to me, at present telecom value pack is a lot better deal than the 2 degrees $19 value pack, as the biggest thing I use is data, so having the heaps of txts and voice that's in the 2 degrees pack is a waste to me, so at present 2 degrees is just in my phone for a backup.
We should not have to micro manage our accounts the way that some of us were/are doing, we should be able to rely on the service that is offered and trust it is not going to fall over like it is doing.
Just my 2c worth :)

I had the same problem today. Rang CS and they said they'd get it sorted within the next 24-48 hours. If I run into any problems, I'll send you a PM.

Sorted today. It's not ideal but at least it was remedied quickly and easily. I guess I'll leave the autorenew active and just keep an eye on when it renews to check it doesn't do it twice. Any idea when this "intermittent" problem will be fixed?

Let me just say that it's one of the trickier ones I have been involved with.

iPad Pro 11" + iPhone 15 Pro Max + 2degrees 4tw!

Excellent!  Thanks for the heads up, I can see there were no active sessions running at the time which can prevent the packs auto-renewing.

We advise customers to check their balance in Your 2degrees - https://secure.2degreesmobile.co.nz/web/ip/login - and top-up prior to the expiry date to make sure they have enough credit. Closing any open data sessions or apps that maybe running for a brief period on expiry will allow the pack to auto-renew.

Cheers!

My 50MB data pack autorenewed twice this morning, resulting in a double billing. In the past it either didn't renew at all, resulting in casual data charges, or renewed correctly. Basically a crap shoot. I'm surprised the bugs still haven't been fixed.

I wish the auto renew settings were sticky, and not re-enable itself each time a data pack is purchased.

Called customer support as soon as it double renewed, but they still haven't reversed the charge and unwanted data pack. Will give them 48 hours, but I'm not holding my breath.
