SaltyNZ:
crazed: The new 2D plan looks good, but I would like the option to swap out the voice minutes for more data, I just don't use voice minutes.

1GB for $20...

^ Long time 2Degree customer here, use the 1GB packs on my T-Stick :P Don't need that much, its a phone not a Laptop. 500mb would be enough.

Nope, you cant, ive tried the call centre and an official store, both said that if i want the offer, then i will have to downgrade to prepay for a month, then resign to pay monthly at the end of that month to take advantage of the offer. And given that its a special promo, its not guaranteed that it will be applicable when you try to resign.

Hopefully the offer stays, and is applied retroactively.

What a load of poop.

Just looked on my site and I have over 10 hours of free minutes!

those terms confuse me... what if I'm already on a $39 plan.. I never took the monthly option as there are no benefits to do it... woo cheap phone.. none of the phones on 2d's site particularly appeal.

Maybe I should just ring them. :S

Reading the T&Cs

So, if you are on No Term and upgrade your $39 plan to 12 or 24 months then you will get it

I've been a customer for more than a year.. they should just do it because I'm cool.

Have you tried calling them and seeing if they will honour the 1GB if you commit to a term agreement for your pay monthly plan? Reading through the T&C it appears as though that might be acceptable.

Here's the relevent section:

2. If, before 1 April 2012, you successfully (“Successful Activation”):
(a) sign-up as a new customer, re-sign your expiring Pay Monthly Plan or 2degrees Business Plan or transfer your existing Pay Monthly Plan or 2degrees Business Plan, to:
(i) a Pay Monthly $39 Plan or above; or
(ii) a 2degrees Business $39 Plan or above; or
(b) upgrade the term of your existing Pay Monthly $39 Plan or above or 2degrees Business $39 Plan or above,
(each Plan referred to above being an “Applicable Plan”)
you will receive 1GB of nationwide data each month(“Bonus Data”) in addition to your Applicable Plan’s data.

If you sign up to a term plan (12 or 24 month) you'll get the 1GB plus a free phone!

It seems to me that you could downgrade to the $29 plan for a month (I presume that you don't loose your carryover minutes during a downgrade] and then upgrade to the $39 plan and get the 1GB (or am I wrong here).

^ You could just sign for like 12months and get the data. Depends how happy you are with the service I guess.

It didn't ask me all the credit questions like it did the first time, so I can only assume it's worked.

Decided to sign for 24months. I'm pretty happy with the service... and I can give the phone to my dad for his birthday :)

Interestingly, when I log into my2degrees there is no mention of the additional 1Gb of data on my existing plan ($39 on a month to month term), yet if I go to 'change my plan' it tells me Im already on a plan with an additional 1Gb.

Its very tempting to sign up for a term and get a free phone :)

or a cheap galaxy SII if you are into that android stuff.

I gave the phone to my dad.

Mine doesn't say about the 1gb either, I assume it will update when my bill turnsover.

Texting 19data to 233 is not currently working? Also the 19data pack is still not online. When will this be sorted.
