Slayer, can you please do a Ctrl+Alt+d on the this usage meter and email me the entire test output to awesomeo@orcon.net.nz.
Can't work out where your data addon is going - this should be able to unveal the errors in my code.

Nice little program but don't install it on a PC that's not connect to Orcon .  I found that it killed my ability to access half my web sites after it did the "repair" function. Had to run system restore to  get the browser to work again.. Works fine at home on Orcon though..

Ahh, yes.

This would be because the repair scripting sets the LAN or Wireless Adapters DNS setting to the Orcon DNS server.

Might add in a warning (and Confirmation) Prompt before it runs, to point this out.

Edit: Might set it to the OpenDNS.org DNS servers instead (This would work for everyone, and rule out issues that might be occurring within the Orcon DNS server also).

Repair option is now using open DNS, Projected monthly usage fixed and the repair function is a cooler (in a graphical way).

There is another option in one of the menus, simply taunts non orcon users - this will in later versions load automatically (once proven to actually work lol).

Going away for a week - go nuts with ideas so I have something to do when I get back....

Why do you need to change the DNS settings?

Usually computers are set to use the DNS server that the DHCP on the modem/router hands out (i.e its own IP); so in the event a connection stops working, by manually assigning the dns you can trust it is not the modem doing it (as we cut out the middle man, i.e modem).

Also it is a little (might only be a matter of milliseconds) faster by cutting out that middle man also.

Hi All,

I am back from my holiday...

Here is a new one again (likely with new bugs, let me know); it has the following new stuff:

*Warns within 80% of Data Cap.
*Repair tool now sets Orcon DNS Servers (After much humming and arring).
*Warns that the cap is exceeded.
*Some new menu options (links to Orcon Pages).
*Automatic Update now happens every 20min (approx), instead of every 3.4days (woops, lol).
*Detects possible PVC Tunnelling errors.
*Detects Blocked Accounts.
*Pretty sure the usage cap calculation issue has been delt to...

Then try to work out how to port it over.

In the mean time, does this not emulate correctly on wine? (if that is still about)

Starts fine under wine.

Couldn't get it to connect - but that's my work proxy to blame for that...

Will try later @ home.
