Just noticed mine is now ver 1424 (was 1423). Has this just been released or have I just not noticed the change earlier?

What is different from 1423?

1424 is a stable release with some minor fixes, it installs automatically on factory reset thanks to TR69. It probably installed the last time you F/R the Genius.

Thanks, guys, appreciate the info. Yeah, would have been the IPV6 mod.

Strange, mine is still not updated.  Is there anywhere I can download the firmaware file and update manually?  I have a bug in 1423 where I can't disable UPNP and was curious if 1424 resolves it.

Have you factory reset the Genius? It will only update on a factory reset.

I'm assuming that will wipe all my settings?  I can take note of them if so, but will it re-detect my phone service?  Thanks!

You can backup your settings and reapply them afterwards. Yes it will detect your phone service and configure itself.

I factory reset but firmware is the same, i guess because my modem is the lite version?  current firmware, still "GeniusLite1423"

I just did a factory reset on my Genius black modem (not Lite) and it stayed at 1423 - no upgrade of firmware.
