Hi all
We have freeview in our main room and am wanting to set up in a bedroom
The tv we bought has built in freeview but we are not in the right area so must buy a decoder.
Is it as simple as splitting the cable from our dish cable,as in a y configuration or
Do we need 2 seperate feeds directly off the same dish?

You can use one Dish and have as many decoders in your household, Does your current decoder have a LNB Output? If it does then you can feed a cable form that one and plug it into your new deocer, If not then you can use a splitter with ALL PORTS POWER PASS to connect up the two,

There are a few provisos to that approach...

Namely, if you use the loop out or a non all ports power pass splitter, then the first decoder will always need to be powered on to use any other decoders.

I don't want to confuse the answer but in case if you were aware that you could receive SBS from Australia then I should add that the suggested approach only gives you completely independent channel switching for Freeview and/or Sky channels. If you aren't aware of SBS then ignore this comment.
