Hi there,

My problem started a few days ago while I was watching TV and a message popped up saying that it couldn't record on another channel - and I discovered that my satellite feed had stopped working. It had worked since I set it up originally in February.

I wondered if something had gone wrong with the signal so I re-entered all the data into the WMC7 options. (10750 - which is the right LO Frequency according to my LNB, 12456 / 12483, 22500).

This still didn't work - so I checked everything. The cable is fine, Windows reports that the satellite card is working properly (and the drivers are updated to latest) and I even replaced the LNB with another to check if it was that.

The last time that I put all the numbers in to WMC7 I noticed that right away the signal quality went to the top - but after a few seconds dropped down to yellow and then disappeared completely.

Also - the channels all show up in the EPG - however when I try and go to them it says no signal.

Very annoying as I often have to record shows and the satellite feed provided all the EPG data.

If it helps I'm running:

Windows 7 Pro
4GB RAM
Zotec ION ITX L-E
Hauppauge WinTV NOVA-T Stick
Tevii S480

Please let me know if you need any more information.

Thanks

Dumb question: have you plugged in the power connector for the S480?

No power connector - it's just a plain PCIe card: http://www.tevii.com/Products_S480_1.asp

Not true. I have one. Check the top right corner in the picture - the little 4 pin plug is a floppy drive style power connector. Doesn't explain why the tuner would stop working all of a sudden, but still...
