Hi All; hope you're having a good day
Im seriously confused how to set up a Skybox F6 and Openbox bought off Trademe.

I read someone else on the forum used their settings below for a similar device.

For satellite I chose Optus D2.

LND Frequency: 10750

Transponder: 12483/2250/H

LNB Power: ON

Toner Burst: NONE.

However I can't seem to find a way to insert 12483; , it just skips past that number. Theres no 12483 setting on the transponder it goes 12130 the next is 12525

If anyone can please help me in details, id appreciate it. I'm a little desperate here. I don't really know what to do and the seller mikenzguy or something like that is not replying.

you need to select Optus D1

LNB settings will also differ depending on your dish (the LNB fitted to your dish)

You also need 12483/22500/H not 2250 for the symbol rate

another thing is that with an Openbox, you should have blind scan too. Just make sure you set it to FTA only.

You have the LNB set up correctly too?

The satellite you want is Optus D1, the setting of Optus D2 on your box is name only but best you use the correct one as the frequencies maybe already loaded.

Not sure if you get this sorted yet, but the frequencies required are:

12483 H 22500
12456 H 22500
12707 H 22500

Be helpful to know your dish setup and LNBF LO frequency

I used to have an Openbox until it died and now I have a YH, which is the same thing without the on-line capabilities. Dinsdale1 is correct that the LNBF LO frequency is the important thing. This controls your communication with the dish. If it is wrong, nothing works. A standard setting, and the one that works with all my LNBs, is 11300. You also need to be sure that LNB power is on. If you have a simple setup (just the dish and a single cable running direct from the LNB down to your receiver), this is all you should need with the Openbox. Once these things are set in the antenna setup menu, go to search and just do a blind scan. Any transponders found will be automatically included. You don’t have to set them up with the Openbox. You also don’t need to specify any satellites. The satellite list is just to help with organisation where hundreds can be received (not a problem here, unfortunately) but it does not contain any settings as such. What controls the satellites you are able to pick up is your LNB. If there is more than one on your dish, then you can pick up that many satellites and you need a switch to select them. Otherwise you get whatever satellite the LNB is positioned for. If it happens to be aimed at D1, your scan should find D1 transponders. If it is aimed at D2, you will get D2 transponders. Or you might even get Intelsat19, which is the third satellite on my dish.
