Hi guys,

Moving flat in a few months so hoping to get one with a HF aerial, but the current digs does not have a UHF aerial.

Hence I was wondering, is it worthwhile buying an indoor aerial to plug into the back of my comp (HVR3000 arrives this week, before the torture of setting it up begins), or should I just not bother with DVB-T until moving

Cheers

Depending on your location and proximity to a transmitter you may well be able to get away with using an indoor antenna. it really just depends what the signal strength is like in your area.

Is there a map or anything that shows where the local Freeview transmitters are, potential signal strength etc

I'm in Glen Innes, Akl so would hope I'd be ok in terms of signal strength

A UHF antenna is not exactly all that large, why not just get one and a hockey stick, takes all of 2minutes to attach it to a barge board and the same to dismount.. Get one with an F connector as part of the balun interface, this will make it easier to recable.
