Hi guys has anyone else had this problem?, when I go to watch a show on tvnz on demand via free view plus it plays but won't go past the first add break. The show will always go to the main menu again. It has only stopped working recently and works fine on the 3now app. I have a Panasonic 550 bluray player. I have turned off DNS to see if that's causing issues but no joy. It works fine on laptop so must be something wrong with app. Any ideas or suggestions?

I used to strike this problem occasionally too with both the TVNZ and 3Now apps (also with the Panasonic PWT550) Usually occurred during times of what I would expect were 'high use' (ie evenings) Seemed to work OK at other times of the day.

Same issue here on my Panasonic 550. All other apps work OK, very frustrating.

yep, sony bravia and a couple weeks back, tried watching ondemand and got to an adbreak and it just simply gave up.... each time it was start the program again until the same ad (and try to skip it).  We eventually gave up.

All my TV apps are up to date, which I think is the problem.

well 3 months later still not fixed, TVNZ think they have a fix and watch this space. I would like to believe them but this is the same line they have been saying about chromecast for the last 3 years

Thanks for the update. Just last week I was thinking about this thread as my wife wanted to ultilise the built into TV FV plus and I gave her the disclaimer...it wont work well....it kept getting stuck on the stupid adverts.

Hopeless. The FV UI is 1990's. Panny has black screen issues on the BWT760, which I gather is when FV+ is used, or is set to be available. Now, cannot play past an ad?

Who looks after this stuff???

Thats the main issue i have with freeview products no one owns the issue, Panasonic say its TVNZ. I wonder what is in the contract between freeview plus providers and freeview are there penalties for failure to deliver a service. If a bank had fault for 4 months there would be hell to pay, yes i dont pay for TVNZ directly but indirectly i do through tax.I really want to support TVNZ and local content but man they make it hard to support them.

If you add up all the complaints across all platforms that support freeview or freeview plus e.g samsung, sony, xbox, play station Panasonic for TVNZ ondemand has the whole roll out been worth it?. I wish they gave up trying to support every platform poorly or not at all and just build an Apple TV or casting function for chromecast that works
