I'm trying to setup Media Portal with a Hauppauge HVR-900 tuner. I'm able to receive the TVNZ and Kordia signals from Mt Kaukau but am not getting anything from Media Works (TV3/C4) on 706000.

Anyone else having this problem?

Cheers,
Matt

Are you plugged straight into the antenna or via a vcr/dvdr or something? Its CH50 (I think) so it shouldnt be the default for any modulators.

If you have a masthead or distribution amp it may be cross modulating 2 channels together onto it. wouldnt have being an issue when it was installed etc.

This happens to me sometimes - I am using dvbviewer and I get all channels, but Portal Media scanned and could find everything but TV3 and C4, with the same hardware.

Hmm - I'll give DVBViewer a try and see how it goes.

Thanks,
Matt

I set up DVBViewer last night with the same results - TVNZ and Kordia are perfect (from Kaukau) but I get nothing from Media Works.

I'm plugged straight into the antenna on the roof of our apartment building. Not really sure what else to try but will continue to tinker and update if I figure it out...

Cheers,
Matt

And there are no analog security cameras modulated onto the shared antenna feed in the building?

I would still give a seperate antenna a shot since you have no way to know the signal is making it out of that outlet intact.
