Hi there,

I’m looking upgrading my PC (starting from scratch with new PC).
I want to incorporate at DVB-T tuner card and HD graphics card with a TV-OUT.
I have my eye on the GA-MA78GM-S2H which has HD HDMI out but no standard TV-OUT so I will likely look at getting a cheap ATI Radeon HD 3400 series Card which as component out and/or S-video out.

My main question is, will the Radeon (or equivalent Nvidia HD card) play HD Freeview content and effectively ‘down scale’ it so that it will play on my 29” Standard Definition CRT?

I would be interested if any one has tried and succeeded (or not succeeded!) with this.

Cheers

In short, yes it will work.. I was running into a 32" CRT previously at the maxiumum S-video could handle (around 840x480 or so.. can't remember exactly).

I can't brain today. I have the dumb.
