Yes, fixes the audio issue.  Replaying recorded TV now includes sound (even for stuff recorded previously - ie before this patch).

BUT

CPU usage still high (15 - 20% on HD preview channel)
EPG still very limited, though just now is showning up to 4 - 5 hours hence (next 4 programs on TV2).
ie. still no MHEG-5

Also, as always, applying the patch destroys existing customisations, so have to go through the process again.

Anyway, the audio fix is very welcome.

For CPU usage/hardware acceleration, take a look on this discussion.

???  I wrote the initial post in that link.

I wrote the post you quoted (above) before getting HW acceleration working.  The one you linked to was written 3 weeks or so later, after my son & I got it working.

The CPU% figures I mentioned in the referenced post were with multiple windows open (this PC is primarily used for other purposes & I rarely have less than a dozen or so windows open).  I have however checked subsequently & with HW acceleration working, viewing TV1 / 3 / HD Preview in PC5.1 only consumes a few % (typ. 1% - 4%) CPU.

Yes, thanks - I haven't noticed the post - but I though posting a follow up here would be good if someone looking for this kind of information bumped into this thread...
