Some nz tv stations now offer 24/7 live streams. Do Freeview offer this for all Freeview channels by any chance?

I don't want to have to install a dish or uhf antenna, I'd rather just stream the channels over the internet if possible (and legal).

No. Freeview only provides a digital transmission platform/service and not content. The users of the platform (TV Stations) decide on their delivery methods.

Exactly. Therefore no other way apart from streaming from the content providers who offer this.

Duke, Three, Bravo, The Edge all stream online. Don't know of any others. TVNZ says they're going to stream 1 and 2 but no word of when.

Just don't see why anyone (within NZ) can't just stream all free to air tv channels in hd on their phone/computer.

Saves having to get a tuner card for your pc and cheaper to get up and running with no dish/antenna required.

TVNZ has just launched their new brand website, TVNZ 1 AND 2 will soon be having streams on the site alongside Duke,
Australia has the advantage as their Freeview system has an app where you can stream all the channels from one app.

The OZ app does not stream all from the one app it requires the apps from some of the other broadcasters to also be installed and calls the other broadcasters app for play. A bit of a jumbled up mess and they also have regionalized streams to deal with based on postal code.

Where did you read / find out about upcoming TVNZ 1 & 2 live streams?

That is all that is really missing from my TVNZ KODI Add-on :)

TVNZ said last year that they would put the rest of their channels online, live streamed.

I hope they havn't changed plans due to their recent cost cutting.. ask them on Facebook?

As for kodi and TVNZ channels there is a private 3rd party addon, still working great over 1 year

No as I said its private though it may get released in another format one day. Once TVNZ1 and 2 become available officially

Ahh, I see.

Using ETV streams still with the correct ?t=?.?.?.?' parameter :)
I guess maybe it's an IP address of someone after the have logged in... (so no further login required)

You know someone with a Uni login?

I would protect it as well if using it (I use actual DVB-T so don't personally require).

Hopefully TVNZ are not too far off doing official streams.
The re-brand launch is a good sign I hope.

For those who are not aware, TVNZ finally has started streaming 1, 2 and Duke on their website. You are required to log in to view.

They have also "promised to make the service available on Apple TV and on Google’s Chromecast."
