Cant find how to report problems. Myself and 1 other had on Freevieview facebook page about Papamoa/Tauranga TVNZ muxes audio out of sync but no reply there. I emailed TVNZ to try and find who to report fault and no reply there.  So here we are 2nd day cant watch TV due to sound being 15 to 20 seconds ahead of picture. TV3 and Maori are okay. This from Kopukairua transmitter. They seem to make it so hard to report a fault. No wonder people look elsewhere

Not sure if there are any Freeview/TVNZ staff in here.

If you PM me your email address with details I will raise with a couple of contacts. It won't be until Monday though as don't have email addresses with me.

Cheers
Grant

surely if there was a widespread issue there would be more people complaining about it?

I rang that number and you cant report a fault with them. You can get put through to sales advice and an installer in your area but no option to report.  Neighbours have problems I know ones in Tauranga with problems but they dont know how to contact anyone.  I am not going on roof to align aerial with Te Aroha to see if thats alright.

Are you viewing the AC3 or AAC audio stream on your TV and/or HTPC? What happens when you switch between the audio streams?

TV is AAC and not able to change as no other option.   HTPC not sure. Using Intel HDMI Audio dvd quality and kodi using direct sound.  Just had a try with the other htpc as mum watching Coro st.   Both using intel i5-4690k cpu no graphics card. Weird thing is NPVR wont even start any TVNZ muxes. However kodi which uses npvr client does load and works well.  Not sure how to find out which audio decoder npvr is using

Edit to say with NPVR mediaworks are fine. select TV1 and only black screen no sound. right click and try to select any of the 3 options 2 english and 1 visually impaired but nothing happens. Have to press escape key to exit as cant change channels.

Well the HD channels transmit multiple audio streams and yes you can on all Freeview TVs I've seen.

You should have a button on the remote labelled Audio which allows you to select different streams just as the Subtitle button allows you to select subtitles.

unfortunately my Samsung remote has no audio button apart from volume and mute. In settings and also when watching TV and press Tools button the only option for audio is He-AAC.

Hi Guys,

When I don't work for DISH TV I work on the freeview forum on behalf of Freeview contracted out. You usually see my name pop up in their feeds, if you want to nudge, give me a message on their and I can look into this as we get given email bursts on what's happening usually from network providers.
