I'm finding that the audio on channels One, TV2 etc is very thin and hollow, but is fine on TV3. Any ideas what might be causing this?

I'm running Freeview|HD on my PC using DVBviewer, Cyberlinks H.264 codec, and a Hauppauge HVR-3000 tuner card.

One other thing I've noticed more recently is that when I launch DVBviewer for the first time each session, it only shows the top left 3/4 of the screen. I have to go into options, turn off Nvidia VMR Fix (or something like that) and turn it back on to see the full picture. Any ideas?

I assume you're using the Monogram AAC decoder - what version of this do you have installed?

What is this Monogram AAC decoder, and where do I get it from?

I had the exact same problem with the audio on TV1 and 2.
You are probably using the Cyberlink AAC decoder which does sound tinny and strange.
As sbiddle mentioned the solution is to download and install the free Monogram AAC decoder.
After installation you can select this decoder in the DVBViewer-Options-AAC Decoder drop down menu.

I see there is now a 0.9.5.0 version. I am using the 0.9.4.0 version and this resolved my audio issue completely.

After unzipping and placing in your windows/System32 folder you will need to register the codec by entering the following
text in a command prompt:
regsvr 32 c:\windows\system32\mmaacd.ax

I tend to put it in my dvbviewer/filters/ folder, then run the little app in there as well as the regsvr32. Does it have any benefits or am I just being stupid?
